Bedford County Woman Previously Charged With Having Sex With Dog Arrested Again After Dog Found Dead

Bedford County, Va. — A Bedford County woman ( Jordan Elise Henderson ) with a documented history of crimes against nature (sexual animal-related criminal charges when she was charged with having sex with Dogs in 2015 and creating videos that were posted online of the sexual acts), has been arrested after authorities say a dog was found tied to a tree in the Bedford/Moneta area with its throat cut or injuries to the neck during the week of October 20, 2025.

According to sources close to the Bedford County Animal Control, a neighbor discovered the Dog tied to a tree with fatal injuries and notified investigators. Deputies later arrested Jordan Elise Henderson, 33, on October 23. She remains held without bond pending a hearing scheduled for early November.

Court records show that Henderson has faced prior prosecutions in Virginia involving animal-cruelty and disgusting related offenses.

In 2015, she was charged in Shenandoah County after a multi-jurisdiction investigation uncovered evidence linking her to a case of animal exploitation (making videos of herself having sex with a dog and posting the content online). She was indicted on several counts, including crimes against nature, animal cruelty, and production of obscene material.

Those earlier charges drew statewide attention and resulted in felony proceedings that underscored the need for stronger laws addressing the abuse and exploitation of animals. Henderson later relocated to Southside Virginia after the resolution of that case.

Animal-welfare advocates say the latest Bedford County arrest highlights ongoing problems with repeat offenders and the challenges local agencies face in monitoring individuals previously convicted of cruelty.

“This is one of several serious animal-abuse incidents our area has seen recently,” said a Bedford rescue-group spokesperson. “We’re asking the community to remain alert and to report suspected neglect or violence against animals immediately.”

Authorities continue to investigate the October incident and have not released additional information. Anyone with information is urged to contact Bedford County Animal Control or the Central Virginia Crime Line.
