Jeremy Stover, of Roanoke VA Charged – See Below
The incident unfolded November 19, when two drivers began arguing in the store’s parking lot. Witnesses told officers the dispute escalated quickly, with the driver of a silver Honda sedan firing shots at the driver of a white Jeep before both vehicles sped away.

As officers rushed to the scene, 911 calls began flooding in from residents along Greenbrier Avenue SE, reporting that the same silver sedan and white Jeep were now chasing each other down the road. Moments later, police discovered the silver Honda smashed into a tree on the 1700 block of Greenbrier Avenue SE. The car was empty.
The man believed to be driving the sedan—38-year-old Jeremy Stover, of Roanoke—was found nearby suffering from non-life-threatening injuries related to the crash. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police say no one was injured by gunfire.
Following an investigation, Stover was arrested and now faces several charges, including:
- Shooting from a vehicle
- Felon in possession of a firearm
- Shooting within city limits
- Reckless handling of a firearm
- Hit and run
Detectives say the two individuals involved were not strangers; an ongoing dispute between them appears to have led to the parking lot confrontation and the chase that followed.
The investigation remains active.
