Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a major residential fire March 3rd 2026 – Tuesday night in Botetourt County.
According to the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a two-story home on Tinker Mill Road where the structure was already heavily involved in flames when firefighters arrived.
Several agencies assisted in battling the blaze, including:
Blue Ridge Volunteer Fire Department
Botetourt County Department of Fire and EMS
Troutville Volunteer Fire Department
Fire crews worked for about three hours to bring the fire under control.
Officials say the people inside the home were able to escape safely, and no firefighters were injured.
Unfortunately, the home was declared a total loss.
