THE ROANOKE RUBDOWN ROUNDUP! THE TWO MEN CHARGED IDENTIFIED, INCLUDING A ROANOKE CITY POLICE EMPLOYEE!

WHERE ARE THE MEN’S MUGSHOTS? WHY AREN’T THEY IN JAIL? AND WHOSE HOME WAS SEARCHED IN DALEVILLE?

Those are some of the biggest questions we’ve been seeing from the community following the massive October 12th massage parlor raids across ROANOKE COUNTY, VIRGINIA.

Now, new details have emerged about the two men charged in the investigation, including one employed by the Roanoke Police Department!

🔴 ONE OF THE MEN WORKS FOR ROANOKE POLICE!

Oliver D. “Dalton” Baugess, 56, of Roanoke City, was charged with the misdemeanor offense of frequenting a bawdy place, a charge involving visiting a location used for prostitution or other illegal sexual activity.

Baugess, who goes by Dalton, is an animal warden employed by the Roanoke Police Department. He previously ran for Roanoke City Council in 2022 on a public safety platform.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, Baugess has been placed on ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE.

🔴 SECOND MAN IDENTIFIED!

Danny Deboard, 70, of Botetourt County, was also charged with the misdemeanor offense of frequenting a bawdy place.

Both men were charged in connection with the ROANOKE COUNTY massage parlor investigation.

🔴 WHERE ARE THEIR MUGSHOTS? WHY AREN’T THEY IN JAIL?

Unlike the 11 women arrested in connection with the massage businesses, NEITHER MAN WAS BOOKED INTO JAIL!

The two men were issued summonses rather than being booked into jail.

That’s why there are NO JAIL BOOKING MUGSHOTS available for either man.

Being issued a summons does NOT mean they weren’t charged. Both men have been formally charged with misdemeanor offenses.

🔴 DALEVILLE HOME SEARCHED — FORMER REAL ESTATE AGENT IDENTIFIED!

Investigators also executed a search warrant at a residence on Island Green Road in Daleville, Botetourt County, where several items related to the investigation were seized.

According to WDBJ7, property records identify the homeowner as Patrick Lynch, a former real estate agent.

WDBJ7 contacted Lynch on Thursday, October 15th, and he declined to comment on the investigation.

IMPORTANT: Patrick Lynch has NOT been arrested or charged in connection with this investigation. The search of a property does not establish that its owner committed a crime.

🔴 WHAT ABOUT THE 11 WOMEN?

All 11 women arrested in connection with the eight ROANOKE COUNTY massage parlors appeared in court Wednesday, October 14th.

Each was charged with maintaining or residing in a bawdy place, a misdemeanor under Virginia law.

According to the latest reporting, the women remained in jail as the investigation continued.

The October 12th operation targeted eight establishments:

Three on Williamson Road

Three on Brambleton Avenue

One on Electric Road

One on Peters Creek Road

Investigators reported finding cash, condoms and sex toys during the investigation.

Police also seized MORE THAN $44,000 IN CASH AND THREE VEHICLES!

Authorities reported locating victims at the establishments and offering assistance. Investigators are also examining concerns about possible human trafficking.

🔴 THE INVESTIGATION IS STILL ONGOING!

So far, 13 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CHARGED — 11 WOMEN AND TWO MEN.

The two men were issued summonses and were not booked into jail, while the 11 women were taken into custody.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

THE COMMUNITY HAS BEEN ASKING WHO THE TWO MEN WERE, WHY THERE WERE NO MUGSHOTS, AND WHY THEY WEREN’T IN JAIL. NOW THOSE QUESTIONS HAVE ANSWERS!
