ROANOKE, VA — A late-night altercation outside a Roanoke bar turned violent early Sunday morning, leaving two people injured and one man in custody.
According to the Roanoke Police Department, officers responded around 1:37 a.m. to the 1300 block of Grandin Road SW for reports of a shooting.
When police arrived, they located a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators say the incident started when a couple was asked to leave a nearby bar, leading to an argument outside. A bouncer and another individual attempted to step in — but the situation quickly escalated into a physical fight.
Police say 21-year-old Isaiah Forney of Roanoke then went to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and fired two shots before fleeing the scene.
Authorities later confirmed a second victim was also injured, suffering a minor graze wound. Both victims were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover.
Forney was later located, treated for minor injuries from the fight, and taken into custody. He is now facing multiple charges related to the shooting.
